Why did you become a teacher?

I took a class on American Character with an amazing professor at a little community college in Mt. Carmel, IL. She introduced me to Benjamin Franklin’s Autobiography, a book about a boy from a poor family who values education and works hard to help the world around him. It was during that class and that reading that I decided to become a college professor.
